History

Catering by Design was created by the husband and wife team of Jeff and Kathy Windt. They are focused on quality food (nothing prepackaged or instant is served), custom events, and attention to detail with exceptional service. Jeff and Kathy are personally involved with every event that they cater, showcasing their professionalism and passion in the smallest details for each event.

Jeff is a classically trained Executive Chef with over 23 years experience in private country clubs, fine dining, and upscale casual restaurants. His passion for food and extensive culinary background make for a perfect fit in our multicultural city.

Kathy’s focus is on detail and creativity, making your dream become a reality. Her continual search for fresh new food and event trends, has positioned Catering by Design as the leader in cutting edge catering for Southeastern Minnesota.
