If you are looking to have a picturesque outdoor wedding surrounded by gorgeous historic buildings, look no further than the History Center of Olmsted County.
Our grounds host multiple notable buildings, beautiful tree lines, and more than enough room to accommodate all of your guests and dreams. While the History Center broke ground on our site in 1972, the other buildings on our estate are much older. The Hadley Valley Schoolhouse was built in 1885, the William Dee Log Cabin in 1862, and the George Stoppel Farmstead was built continuously from 1856 to the early 1860’s. Whether you want your day to feature a tall and proud schoolhouse, an adorable log cabin, an expansive farmstead, the backdrop of nature, or a lovely pavilion, we can make your dream day come true.
The History Center itself sits on 54 acres of private land, hosts a museum, archives,  and features two indoor rental spaces – the Sertoma and Crawford Rooms – which can be used for nearly any type of event. Only 10 minutes from downtown and with a vast amount of space, we can give you an outdoor, historic, wedding in nature while still being near the heart of the city. To discuss wedding packages and rental options, contact the History Center today!
